We’re Maddie Bedard and Jordyn Lodermeier — two best friends from beautiful British Columbia, Canada, who turned a shared dream into something real. In 2023, we launched Bare Essentials, a swimwear brand inspired by creativity, confidence, and European-inspired flair. For as long as we can remember, we’ve talked about building something together — something that felt like us.
So, why bikinis? We were obsessed with unique designs, flattering fits, and that feeling you get when you put on a bikini that just hits. So we stopped dreaming and started creating. For us, swimwear represents so much more than just a product; it’s a symbol of confidence, individuality, and freedom. Designing swimwear gives us the ultimate creative outlet, allowing us to craft pieces that inspire people to feel bold, beautiful, and comfortable in their own skin. We design with intention — combining feminine details, European-inspired prints, and a whole lot of personality.
